Wow! What a user of time this blogging is! I just read Peter Bromberg's "Blog vs Listserv" article, followed a few links and was miles and a great many minutes away from what I had understood to be my task. I almost said "waster" of time in the first full sentence above, but realized that I learned a few things along the way. Luckily my goal for today was to do just that. I don't know how I'd feel if I had a deadline on another subject but found myself checking up on comments made on postings three or four layers of clicks away from my starting post...
hmmm.
